Kingkui12, you dont even have a fucking clue what you are talking about.. If fat americans get off their asses and took a bus, or even rode a bike or walked to work it wouldnt make an impact on the cost of gas around the world. It`s all about greed. There`s no real shortage of gas. The people in control of oil are charging an arm and a leg for per barrel and the poor suckers out there are paying for it. Reason governments aren`t doing squat about the gas prices? Possibly kickbacks, not entirely sure. One word to think about.. Corruption.

^Kickbacks isn`t a possibility, it`s the freakin` reality. Most people don`t realize that the price of gas is being artificially inflated. Yes the price of oil has an effect but not the exponential growth that we`ve seen.

And for those who say, "Well why doesn`t Bush drill the oil in the US?!" think about that for a minute; you see how much we spend on foreign oil, imagine what the price would be for American labor.

We`re stuck in the center of the cycle, and the only thing we can do is ride it out.

If only there was a way to prove 100% that there is indeed no oil shortages.

After the news told me the amount of profit Petro Canada made in its last year, somewhere in the billions inside a year, the oil shortage excuses became a little less credible. Fuck greed and fuck the gas companies.

TonyBlue05, the extra money from the newly drilled oil would easily offset the labor costs.
It doesn`t take much manpower to run an oil field with the newer technology they`re coming out with so it`s not really that stupid of an idea to be drilling in say, Alaska.

Well what about the new carbon capture technology.
takes the majority of the carbon from the exhaust of the car this can be reused to produce bio fuel.
the good news is the more polluting the engine the more carbon can be captured and the more fuel you can produce.
the company owner attached it to his shogun which produced 275g per km then retrofitted the system and it now produces only 110g per km. given future evolution of this technology that figure will drop to 0%.
so it upsets the socialists as they cannot hate big cars for "green reasons" and you can help beat the fuel crisis by producing your own fuel too.
and here in the uk you can really piss the chancellor off as you can produce up to 2500 litres of fuel tax free per year.
win win win now all we need is for the company to make this technology affordable and they may end up richer than microsoft?

I can`t stand how everyone is bitching about $4 gas here. It`s such a low price relatively speaking, and if it`s soooo bad, why are there no less cars on the road?
