Good show for its era, but every time I watch Mr. Sagan I feel like I need to drink a glass of water or wipe my mouth cause I`m drooling...

(sorry its long, i just have a question) i always wondered what happens when a light get sucked into a black hole... from knowledge, i know that gravity is like a sheet of stretchy cloth and any mass makes a dent in it which pulls things towards the middle. think of that as a half pipe in a skate park and the skater is the light. when the skater goes down the ramp and to the other side, it moves AWAY from the center and the gravity pulls him back into the middle. BUT when the skater reaches the highest point in which his forward motion can take him, he must come to a complete stop when his forward motion and the gravity equalizes before he can come back down again. SO in other words, when light is sent out from the middle of the black hole, it must come to a stop before it can be sucked back in... which means the speed of light becomes 0 for a split second... and im pretty sure thats not possible... and on the same note, if you have your back against a black hole and your looking at a light source, wont the light come towards you FASTER sense the gravitational pull is strong enough to pull anything including light? so in other words, wont light travel FASTER then the speed of light sense its speed of light+pulled by gravity?
