I love the way they come to the conclusion in this test that it is not worth your money buying the expensive set, however, there`s more to a comparison like this than what they`ve shown (NOT talking about cables): the mike, and more important the sound engineer, as NO recording ever gets out the studio until it is to the recording team`s taste! I like the blind testing (as NO hifi or high end mag will ever attempt a real blind test), although this really should be done as a "double blind test" which means you hear the same recording over again random and MORE than once from each source.

^ agreed. i think the price and what the speackers looked like shouldn`t have been disclosed the the judges. it give them a biased view.

Right so they plug a £400 speaker upto about what £5k marantz amp. those kef speakers i think would need a more sutible amp to get the fuller ranges. ROFL at punchier lol. think she should of said was more clarity (Y) lol

If you can afford to blow 12,000 on a pair of speakers you probably have more money then sense anyway. I`m thinking professional footballer here. It`s a bit like buying a Ferrari Enzo or a Bugatti Veyron then driving on our shitty 70MPH max English roads.
I`m just jealous really.....
