Average video cameras record at a speed around 24 frames per second. High speed cameras can record at up to 1000 frames per second. With less motion between frames, objects appear to move more slowly.

The opposite effect is used to, say, make a plant look like its growing at super high speeds, with a frame taken perhaps every 30 minutes.

Actually all the spinners won. Anything on the wooden floor was either an antweight (1lb) or a beeetleweight (3lb). Most of the other fotage is of the hobbyweights (12lb).
The same camera will be turning up to RoboGames in a few weeks so we should see some good heavy weight (220lb) and super heavy weight (340lb) action. A lot more titanium sparks too. This fotage was just a test for filming at RoboGames.
