Interesting how the explosion is invisible on the inside of the cabin and doesn`t create the hollywood style fireball until it punches through to the outside.

Thanks for the info on how to blow up a `plane.
And save money on explosives.

Signed Osama.

Pan Am Flight 103 from London`s Heathrow JFK 21 Dec 1988, a Boeing 747-121 destroyed by a bomb. The remains landed in and around the town of Lockerbie in southern Scotland forensic experts determined that about 1 lb (450 g) of plastic explosive had been detonated in the airplane`s forward cargo hold.

hmm, most "security" is reactive anyways, and not actually stopping anything of real danger. If someone really wants to blow up a plane, their going to blow up a plane. For example, how the heck would you stop: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6229512773940934022

in this video?

lol, 9/11 hijackers used knives, not plastic explosives. The security situation is laughable, and I feel sorry for every one of those idiots waiting in airport lines with earnest faces, like it`s "serious time" for terrorism. Americans` childish reactions to security is beyond laughable, it`s just sad. I`ll bet no one knows that Al Qaeda did not exist until after the neocons came up with a name for their cash cow.

Anyone from that part of the world knows that anyone seen talking about "al Qaeda" w/ a grim face gets laughed at for being so naive as to believe in a bogeyman that U.S. politicians invented to have a legal basis for their illegal war. I defy anyone to show me an instance of Osama bin Laden using the name "al Qaeda" (the vast network that he was supposedly recruiting legions of Arabs into) before the pencil-dicked geeks turned terrorism "gurus" from Washington invented the name. The name Al Qaeda literally means "the database." As in, the database of CIA-trained Mujahideen that we unleashed on the Russians back when THEY failed to occupy Afghanistan.

That`s why the idiotic neocons, in their late-night cram sessions of inventing evidence for an invasion, thought that Al Qaeda was an organization name -- of course bin Laden was mentioned in talking about "the database," he was one of those Mujahideen we trained! This is why I hate Fox News fans, they mindlessly defend the sloppiest misreportings as if their pathetic way of lives depended on it.

Cool explosion, btw.

As a TSO, I am just trying my best to deter terrorists coming to the airport, but we are all humans. It is not easy to recognize bombs in bags.
It is even harder when 99.99999999% of people (I deal with 200 passengers per hour) are not terrorist, have nothing dangerous, but are rushing through security screening, screaming how much I suck at my job, while getting LATE to their plane because got to the airport at the last second.

And of course we have the occasional idiots who don`t know alcohols, juices, coca cola, and water are consider liquids. Or the other passenger who forget their guns in the bag (I had to stop someone because he did), and of course, way to often, the passengers who lose their driver licenses/boarding passes at the checkpoint and assume we steal it. Or people who just follow the other passengers like sheep to the same security lines while there are several other EMPTY lines around. Or the people who ask me if the cellphone and camera will alarm the metal detector. Or the people who shake my hand when I ask for the boarding pass. Or the people who start to put their hands up after they give me their boarding pass. Or the people who are right after this latter passenger and do the same thing, until I have to yell out "Nobody is under arrest. You don`t need to put your hands up. I just need to see your boarding pass.". And so much more. Yet I try to keep my "famous" smile and kindness at SJC, bypassing several times the strict requirements of my job to let people feel more at ease, even if it could mean losing my job... and yet so many of them are still cursing at me.

^^ anyone who believes you can hijack a plane with a boxcutter is a crazy conspiracy theorist in my books. then again i think the same thing about people that think the wtc buildings were brought down by planes (especially building 7.) oh, and that the hole in the side of the pentagon was caused by a plane. those claims are really "out there."

Fun to watch, and scary at the same time. How little of a charge it takes, to ruin so many lives.
