Bulgarian sumo wrestler Kotooshu defeated yokozuna Hakuho yesterday, making it very likely that Kotooshu will become the first European in history to win the Emperor’s Cup.

First european indeed to possibly win, but he wouldn`t be the first non japanese to win the emperors cup. That would be hawaï-born Akebono Taro, he won that cup 11 times if I`m not mistaken.
