robert downey jr has no australian accent to speak of...this movie looks terrible...^^robert downy jr is a good actor but ive seen homeless people doing more characters than him, but he was good in waking life.

I got really high once when i first say the advert.. i got so exited i went to the movies that night to see it, i ended up seeing that terrible movie with mcaunoghey(sp?)... now i wana see it

I was in Kauai when they filmed this, in fact I stayed at the resort they filmed the shipwreck seen on. On the way back to Oahu, I sat two rows behind Ben Stiller`s dad. (George`s dad on Seinfeld) I am glad that it looks as if it turned out pretty funny.

Am I the only person that thinks this movie is going to be ridiculously racist? A White man in Blackface? Have people not heard of the legacy of minstrel shows? It would be somewhat acceptable if it was done for social commentary or whatnot, but from the looks of the trailer, that was clearly not the film`s intent. And Bom Hagan, how exactly does a "Black" man act like, and how does Robert Downey Jr do a "good" job of acting like a "Black" Man. By this, are you saying Downey Jr is doing a "good" job of acting like a stereotypical "Black" man as represented by today`s media? If that is the case, all I can say is that we really haven`t changed a damn bit as a society in the past century or so.

God, today`s mainstream American cinema sucks.

I`m no racist but I find this hallarious. So what he`s playing a black dude, he plays it well. It`s funny.
Besides, Chappelle plays white dudes all the time in his sketches and it doesn`t bother anybody.
