Till now, Sichuan Province has reported 12,012 death, 9,404 still buried in debris and 7,841 missing. More than a hundred thousand police and army forces have been mobilized to the rescue operation, including some 4,500 airborne troops trying to parachute into the districts seperated by landslides and cave-ins on roads.
