I read that NASA is working on tracking all NEO`s (near earth objects) greater than a certain diameter. If all else fails, duck and cover.

^^ NORAD has been keeping track of all NEO`s, including satellites and meteors, for about 50 years now.

Thei pretty hard to spot even with the best telescopes we have.
And NORAD wouldnt inform any of us, only some high officials who would tell us that there`s nothing to worry about. And even if we did know of one that is heading our way, if its big enough we couldnt do anything.
