I live in Oklahoma and yes stuff like this is common and not so much hollywood. When you hear stories of cars getting planted in trees or wood beams getting shot straight through a tree or concrete wall, its very much true.

^Nah tornados can be either clockwise or counter clockwise. Just depends on Which directions the wind is pushing at the given moment a tornado is formed.
