I`ve seen the original forum post. The guy installed brand new aftermarket wheel nuts that happened to be the wrong type and the threads were just holding barely.

Phanto`s explanation makes the most sense. You know even if you were to loosen the nuts on a wheel, it`s designed to tighten itself as it drives. When wheels fall off, it`s usually because the studs gave up, or what phanto said.

It`s gonna be expensive =S

looks like the back right wheel nuts came off / weren`t put on, so once that wheel was off the added weight on the left caused the wheel bolts to sheer off. maybe the front ones then followed suit for the same reason but couldn`t really tell...

imho, its a rig. the tech must have only started the treads, as to phanto, even if the thread were wrong the nuts would have gotten mashed onto the studs, no way any person that could throw a bone, could stuff up five studs let a alone all five studs on all four wheels
