This is disgusting. There are people living in tent cities in LA. Folks in homeless shelters, in their cars and under bridges everywhere you go in the world - probably within walking distance of this house.

There are legions of "working poor", now; people who work honest jobs for dirt pay who scrape together enough (if they`re lucky) to pay for a seedy room in a hotel. Failing that, they live in their cars.

There are homeless vets, men and women who were lied to, told they were "serving their country" and that a thankful nation would never forget. Bullshit.

When you have more than you really need, more than you could ever possibly use, then what you have is stolen.

Time to take it back. Let`s start with this place.

reply to edm0321 below: Your argument is based on classic, "trickle-down/supply-side/Reaganomics". The problem with such theories is that they have seldom, if ever, been shown to work. They sound nice, but in practise habitually fail. Income disparity in the US (a living experiment in the "trickle-down theory) is a perfect example. Simply, the rich have only gotten richer, the poor have only gotten poorer, jobs are exported, downsized, outsourced and lost, and social cohesion dissolves. The mansions and yachts that the rich claim provide jobs for builders and craftspeople *never* create enough jobs to compensate for the insane amount of wealth consolidated in the hands of the wealthy. Never.

What few jobs are created are temporary and low-wage. And in any case, the money the wealthy use to fund what little work they directly pay for is often garnered through cost-cutting, job-cutting and stringent measures that deprive others of jobs in other sectors; robbing Peter to pay Paul, as the saying goes, only in the case of the US it`s not just Peter being robbed, but his entire family, community, city, state, and their descendants.

Most of the value of the property is probably in the land itself. Land in that part of England is hella expensive.

A couple of years ago in my home town (about 60 miles away), it was reported that 1 acre of land cost £2 million ($4 million)... 58 acres would be £116m ($232m)!

wow. what an egregiously wasteful demonstration of wealth. how about you share that with the people who actually earned it for you. namely, those "working poor" that klavlav referred to. either that, or, as klavlav also put it, we are going to take it back from you.

ehhhh klavlav thats pretty weak.if the person who buys this house had a great idea or worked hard to get it than who the hell cares. think how many "working poor" are needed to maintain this house. by being over the top and decedent he is providing jobs. same goes for over seas production. what would happen if foreign inverters pulled out of china and produced goods in their own countries. sure it stops exploitation of the working class but what would millions of out of work people do than?
