Moore`s Law, the law that states that processing speed grows exponentially, is probably not entirely true.

With ever increasing processing speed, it is required to have ever increasing, or rather, decreasing, processor sizes.

I watched a multi-part PBS documentary on String Theory in which it was mentioned that there will be a time when the size that a processor can get will be limited.

meh, or who knows...

Skynet may be up online before then.

I wonder if the big bang was really just the blue screen of death, and the only way to avoid it happening again and again is to reinstal the universe version of windows with an original copy bought from PC world as opposed to the windowsxp.torrent.cracked.exe that we ripped off emule? This documentary has been a philosophical nightmare. so many assumptions and misconceptions...problems of reference and metaphysics. Bostrom`s simulation idea, for example, runs into problems addressed by Hilary Putnam`s article "Brains in a Vat," or Kant`s transcendental aesthetic even fucks with the objective notion of time. Science isn`t a means to understanding reality...it`s just a recap of the rules of phenomena, which is nothing more but a mere component of reality...

But what am I? I think about the nature of reality a lot. We`ve been dropped right in the middle of the timeline, if there is such a thing, therefore we only know what we see with our limited senses, which I think according to the chart of the electromagnetic spectrum, is an minuscule piece of reality. Therefore the world we sense around us, is in fact, a light-based illusion, as we cannot see the entirety of reality for what it truly is with our limited senses. So the possibility proposed in this video would be half true, because our reality, while real to us, would be virtual.

As far as time travel is concerned, we could be moving through space/time, one nanosecond at a time, and each second we travel through time, we`re actually being regenerated into a slightly varying spectrum of light, one that our senses transition to, but is just different enough to block the past from our senses. The implication for this would be that the past and the present and the future could all exist simultaneously, but we can`t sense it because it`s slightly out of phase, but does in fact exist right alongside us.

I`m more of a concept guy though, so the math probably doesn`t check out. But that`s sort of tangent my imagination runs on when videos like these get posted. I <3 Horizon.

The real irony here is that as much as we are able to create and manipulate a virtual environment, with its own rulesets and limitations, we are yet unable to admit that we could be subject to the very same principles of existance, controlled and governed by similarly determined and absolute laws, by individual(s) who created our reality much the same way we create artificial realities, and probably for much the same reasons.

Think about this, `The double slit experiment`, when observed you get one outcome, when not observed, you get another. Therefore, the outcome is dependent on us human`s observing it. This may be the limit`s of the super computers running this simulation we may be in, because it cannot keep things consistent at the quantum level. And as far as above comment`s saying computing power can only be as fast as light you are incorrect, research Quantum Computer`s they are much faster than what light can give you.
