What a stupid and lame product. I don`t get why people want to view photographs on their TV. All editing still needs a computer and photoshop or the equivalent. HD TV is only 1080i max whereas a pc is way higher rez. Who wants to sit in your living room and see your vacation photos on a TV? No wonder the Japanese love suicide. Here lets watch a million stills of my trip to New Jersey!

@HiroFORCE

"HD TV is only 1080i max"? The max resolution for HDTVs being released now and past couple years have been 1080p, progressive scan is a big difference. However, I believe the highest broadcast resolution is 1080i. Again, I believe that is the highest resolution for broadcast.

EDIT: Oh yea, almost forgot to comment on the video/product. I don`t see why more people don`t have HTPCs, home theater pc, hooked up to their TVs if products like the ones in the video are selling so well.

Contrary to the name, you really don`t need a home-theater system to enjoy the benefits of having a second computer right there connected to your TV. It would only cost like $150-$250 to build a small pc perfect for quick and trivial things you would need a pc for.

Hell, you could even buy an old laptop some business is practically throwing away. More than likely it`ll only have vga out with a low resolution but if you are going for the cheap, vga will do just fine.

VGA out is low resolution? Do you know what you`re talking about? Answer = No, you don`t. You probably mean composite out. Again you`re still trying to find a decent reason to look at photos on a TV. I can`t think of one. I guess you mention price, but if you`re shooting digital photos then you probably should embrace the idea of owning a PC. It`s like getting a VHS video but not feeling as though you can afford a VCR. If you`re going digital then JUST GO DIGITAL. Take your photos, adjust the ones you like, print them out or have them printed, store or delete the ones you have left over. Welcome to the 21st century.

@HiroFORCE,

How Exactly did you figure out that 1080i is the highest when in all reality it is 1200i, it`s called extreme high def. nVidia supports it. If you are gonna rag out about something, learn it first.

This item may be useful for one buying or building an automated house.

Learn before your comments.

Plus it`s amazing for extra storage. with a 1 and 1.5 TB on board HDD.

Welcome... to the 21st century

Jesus man, chill out. I wasn`t insulting you or even trying to offend you like people usually do on the internet. I was merely trying to correct you.

I know VGA isn`t low res. At the end of my comment I was saying that if someone got a cheap laptop that it would probably only have VGA out AND have a low resolution. The laptop would have a low resolution... not VGA out...

Actually I got my laptop hooked up to my HDTV right now through VGA. The laptop has HDMI out and VGA out but my HDTV only has DVI in and VGA in, kind of an old HDTV. Seems to be working okay at 1080p. Occasionally there is some noise in the picture and some picture shredding when scenes change in movies but it`s tolerable.

@talira

HiroFORCE wasn`t talking about the highest resolution available. He was talking about the highest resolution HDTVs can go to right now.
