^ I expect the latter. Will think of buying IF there`s a no-combat free wandering option or mod. I`m tired of the S in FPS. I think it`s lack of imagination at this point in the evoolution of gaming, that there`s nothing more imaginative that guns & bombs. How about the Myst series, but done right in full FP? Or something else? Explore middle earth? The possibilities are endless, and I think the success of the HalfLife series is largely because of the slightly more interesting, not 100% shooting-centered aspect.

It`s using the Crytek engine. So ofcourse it`s going to be beautiful. But the real question is, will the gameplay be the same bland garbage that we saw in crysis? or something actually interesting.

No matter how good a game looks, piss-poor AI will always kill it.

@ MorphingJar, um im sorry, are you high? Crysis bland garbage? what the fuck are you smoking? Crysis was the only FPS game that i played more than once, i got it when it came out, and its still on my computer, that game rocks, vote me up and vote morphingjar down if you agree with me that Crysis was one of the best games that came out so far.

I agree with MorphingJar, apart from looking very pretty, I thought that Crysis was not a very good game and most of the people I know who have played it would agree.

As a technical exercise it was a major step forward, but as for gameplay, there have been much better games out there, such as the Half Life series, be it the original or the more recent ones.

Crysis was one mediocore game despite its extravagant graphics and shet.
But i must say the single player was a bit fun since i am south korean. And south koreans despise the northies even in virtual reality.

I hope it`s not dulled down for consoles like console games are vamped up for PC. If it`s on Crysis standard or even higher it won`t run well on the consoles, especially with large maps.

I`m still waiting for a LAN coop mod for Crysis before I play it for my billionth time

Looks like it didnt mention the environment regeneration.

Basically when you destroy a tree or anything it will very slowly start to grow back in a different form. It also forgot the fact that when you start a fire with the flame thrower, it will catch fire to the plains. and the wind will carry it.

I actually thought the single player in crysis was really good.

problems are, an ineffiecient engine and bad netcode.

if i could run crysis in 1080p and everything registered online, itd be a pretty mint game.

Would be nice to see a post apocalyptic fallout 2 kinda game (I know they`ve been talking about Fallout 3 for like 3 years now) with this kind of graphics and development, and in FPS mode. Just making Fallout 1+2 storyline into a playable FPS would rock! They don`t even have to invest in making a good story. Which they usually don`t anyway.
