This is a distraction from the real problem. Parents aren`t parents to their kids anymore and they expect TV Public Schools and Video Games to educate their children rather than take the initiative themselves. If your kid is so fucking stupid he can`t tell the difference between a video game and real life that`s not the video games fault, it`s yours.

Remember the good ol` days when bad parenting was the reason why kids were so messed up. But these days it`s the video games, music, movies, television, youtubes, and myspace. Everything but the neglectful parents that allow their kids to play/listen/watch/use those things so they don`t have to deal with them.

If you let your kids play GTA, you are a bad parent. GTA`s target audience is 18-35 year olds, as we are the biggest buyers of games.

If any of these arguments were valid, all us spiked users would be violent sociopaths.

F*** that! Glen Beck, I know you love your goody-two-shoe sheltered religious children but once they move out and you can`t have strict control them things are going to end up being much worse! People like him run his household like a communist country!

I`m not going to make an over generalization but a good percentage of the kids I grew up with whose parents made them go to church, never let them stay out late, never let them play video games... are now the biggest sluts I know, take games like GTA way more seriously than they should, and get out of control when they get drunk because they don`t know how to handle themselves.

Don`t get me wrong, I`m not saying all do, but I would really like to read the results of a study on the outcome of sheltered kids vs. kids that grew up in an open household (I mean open, not where the parents ignored them).

Violence is part of life and will always be there. Parents just need to teach their kids about LOVE and not just try to instill fear in them with religious (like hell) and legal (like prison) fear tactics because it won`t work. If kids have love and passion they won`t hurt people because they know the effect it will have on that persons family, friends, and their loved ones and they will have respect for that!

Just my two cents =)

Jack Thombson is an attorney against GTA. I mean how much more biased can you possibly get! This guy gets paid bank to oppose GTA! Glen Beck, instead of criticizing the media why don`t you keep your conservative views to yourself and actually be a reporter by covering both sides of the story and also having the attorney for the defense on your show as well.... ha, like that`s ever going to happen!

They are trying to make it sound like all you do in the game is kill prostitute`s and cop`s. So the people sitting at home watching this thinks that`s all you do. If that were all the player had to do in the game, that would get old quick. They never tell you that on the news. They never tell you that you DON`T have to kill the cops and protistutes. They are just part of a free roam game world. It`s the different mission`s you complete that makes GTA so awesome. All the different story lines, the side mission`s, the different types of cars to drive. Your way to busy completing mission`s then bothering with the stuff these assholes are bitching about.

Funny how the news never seems to go into that. Jack Thompson is a lowlife attorney who hungers so bad for Lawyer Stardom. He can`t get it by winning cases in the court room, so he attacks something that he feels like he will get attention on because he can exploit a virtual world. WOW Jack, way to go. I wish I could go on CNN and debate this guy on live news. NO hold`s barred with controller and game in my hand. That would be fair and balanced.

the very instant i heard glen say "jack" i said "fuck" out loud. didnt even need to hear the last name because i knew it had to be good ol` jack thompson. considering the topic is about gta and all. i bet thompson begged like a little kid for cnn to let him on the show to talk about gta.

i dont get why he is suing take2, sony, and walmart but not microsoft. gta has been on the xbox, pc, and now 360. thats 3 different platforms that microsoft has allowed gta to be on. might as well try and sue as many people as you can, thompson. might get lucky and nail one of them. lol
