Part One. Originating in the 14th century AD, these infantry units were composed of non-Muslims who had been captured and converted to Islam. They were then trained to fight for the Ottoman Empire against the Christians.

^Yeah, my favorite! Turks are a great civ.
Some 35 Janissaries with 5 monks behind them for instant healing, a few bombard cannons behind them, easily defeated the super Frank Paladins.

Hzafary: If you read history you would know that muslims first initiated cleansing "convert or die", a christian life is worth points in heaven lol, the crusaders did not represent all christians, the Byzantine empire had split into the the latin speaking faction that followed the pope (crusaders) and the Greek speaking faction that stood by itself without a religious leader. The crusaders went mad after they have been at war for so long and have seen things that a regular human should not see, they went mad , lost their minds like a any soldier, i.e vietnam war and they did some disturbing things, it was not their religious pride but war itself that inflicted their souls. The Greeks, Armenians for example thought that the Turks were logical and civil they believed that the Pope was exaggerating about their savagery so they wanted to negotiate a treaty so that both religion can live at peace , unfortunately the Turks were power hungry and killed, raped millions of civilians in the name of Allah, the Armenian king himself went alone to talk with the Turks out of good will only to have his head decapitated and sent back to his family. The Janissaries were mostly Kurdish and they were promised land after the war was over not because they were loyal to the sultan "that`s just ridiculous" Greeks, Armenians also were included and many had their family`s lives at stake and many converted to Islam just to get a noble title in the ottoman empire. The ottoman empire was a savage empire that won by scare tactics, they impaled, had woman nipple neclaces , decapitated children , they once took over a greek village and roasted the village `s pregnant woman on a open fire as a sign that they should not be messed with, they had no limits that was their strategy .
