the fact that i didn`t hear abot it in the news and that there`s a doc about it, i`m guessing the study was `inconclusive` or they found his research flawed or gimmicked. i guess i`ll find out in part 4

valour, "the news" doesn`t mean just tv for some people. there are scientific journals and digests

anyone else remember the pistol shrimp? sonolumiscence caused by cavitation where the pressure of the collapsing bubble generates a minimum of 5000k to produce visible light. 5000k being to estimated temperature of the sun. And what occurs within the sun... sounds plausible for this guy to achieve it.

People never learn from history. If we were to harness this energy we would start developing technologies that would depend on this energy. Technologies that would probably end up using up yet another resource.

Don`t get me wrong, I am no hippie, I would love to be around to witness it, I just have no faith in us humans.

Squints comment is voted up jokingly so obviouly people are aware that the oil companies are willing to go as far as killing someone to make money. So why aren`t we boycotting oil? To further fuel my grip the rising gas costs that help them screw us into the ground even more. So hey let me just get oil from someone else right? TO BAD you can`t...

Horizons, like so many so-called "documentaries" has quickly made a habit of giving legitimacy to junk science. The unwashed masses, with little real science education of their own and their media-stunted ability to use critical thinking skills just eats it up and regurgitates it as if they have really learned something.

Look at k96glome...getting all kinds of votes for misunderstanding that it`s the *surface* of the sun which is at 5000 K, not the core where fusion actually takes place at an astounding temperature of 10,000,000 K!!

Then, when the facts are pointed out, folks simply start spewing the anti-corporate-oil mantra. And not there aren`t legitimate issues in that regard but, in this case, it`s a red herring. Fusion is perhaps the most overrated "solution" to our energy problems. Most people are clueless beyond belief when it comes to the incredible hurdles we have to make it a reality. Nay, I`m putting my money into efficient solar energy and other far more achievable means to reduce our dependance on oil (especially of the foreign flavor).

If this is what I remember from a while back, this story turned out to be bogus, the numbers just didn`t add up and the results were not "cold fusion", it only worked if you cooked the books

No one seems to know that free energy isn`t such a new thing. Check out Nikola Tesla`s experiments, he created free energy almost a century ago. These efforts are blocked, no matter how smart the invention is, cuz no one can make money out of FREE energy.

The problem is that to harness and use energy it takes INFRASTRUCTURE. And infrastructure is most certainly NOT free!!

And you Tesla worshippers are just beyond belief. Yeah, the guy did some amazing science...but you idiots are off your illiterate rockers thinking that the only reason we don`t use his ideas for energy is because corporations won`t let it happen. Nobody is stopping anyone from building their own free energy devices based on Tesla`s ideas...and many have tried. The problem is that not a damn one of them has ever delivered what was promised...EVER!!!

So, 1nfected...if you think Tesla was God, and you are so much smarter than everyone else, then build your own damn free energy device, with no money whatsoever. Oh, what`s that? Easier said than done? imagine that.
