I'm black and I use the word "nigga" all the time. Since I live in Georgia, there's a lot of white people, and I have a lot of white friends. Sometimes my friends say stuff like "What's up nigga!?" and I don't really care because they're my friend and they don't mean it in a racial way. Me and one of my friends were talking about the KKK one day and, jokingly, he called me a nigger. Once again, we laughed and went on about our day.

The only time I got offended by the word was when a grown ass (white) man called me a nigger when i was at work bagging his groceries (i worked at Kroger). He dropped a 6-pack of beer and I had to clean it up, then he told me: "Get me another 6-pack! nigger." I was 15 at the time. I calmly walked away, went outside and scratched the side of his car "by accident".

and if black people can be allowed to call themselves that, then hey, it's america. we can say it too."

Noxious, that's like saying: Hey, if astronauts go into space...so can I! People feel differently about the word. You can say it to one person and nothing would happen, but you can say it to another person and get punched in the mouth.
