This is Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa, Japan; it`s the world`s second largest aquarium. They just finished building that tank while I was living there with my grandparents (around 2006). It`s amazing seeing whale-sharks, manta rays, and sharks swimming around there.

I was actually just at this place last summer while visiting some family. The viewing window for the tank with the whale sharks and everything is the world`s largest acrylic window. Okinawa in general is an interesting place. I recommend people go there if given the chance.
