I did blackplanet in 9th grade, by the time myspace and facebook came out that shit was old news. I like the face to face approach because if there is one thing i`ve learned about the internet since I`ve been on it (Prodigy anyone?) 90% of the people on it are full of shit.

I have facebook, its great and it helps me to keep in touch with my relatives from abroad.
I also keep in touch with the people I didn`t like in school, but now I like. Get invited to parties and Reunions.

Share the photos of that party, upload some videos.

I use facebook maybe 2 hrs a week tops.

The only disadvantage is, if ppl want to look me up... I`m fucked.

I agree with the general consensus here.

Whether is Facebook, Myspace, Bebo or whatever - they`re shit and mostly for fuckwits who have nothing better to offer the internet than a list of their favourite movies, songs etc.

What makes it worse is that they`re just elaborate ways of leeching your personal details (Myspace was set up by a marketing company who were forced to diversify when California banned spam emails, Facebook is similar.)
