Meh. I am taking philosophy classes, and the whole `devine spark` knowable-world stuff is pretty wrong, if you ask me. Most philosophers these days have a purely materialistic view of the world, granting no supernatural power to the brain. There are a few still that would advocate a sort of mind or soul that surpasses matter and neurons and stuff like that. And that`s fine. There just isn`t any proof for it, and just every now and then, you also need some proof for things you say in philosophy.

(btw: oh, probably this guy overshot refuting the uber-reductionistic logical positivists. That were indeed a bit to hard-core and logic-loving for reality. So in a historical view he might not be all that crazy. Besides the poisoned oranges of course.)

(edit: I sound pretty douchy for knowing this shit.)
