Really great interview. Yeah, people find looking after their own interests to be just too complicated and stressful. So they escape into a world of...reality TV?

I sure hope there`s a reset button somewhere in this Constitution that smart people keep talking about. And it had better not be something I have to get up from my recliner to press, damnit.

Every response he had was just full of history and facts. He wasn`t speaking his opinion, he was speaking reality.

It sucks bad... even if he wasn`t a good "leader" for the nation, he`s certainly the guy to pick the nation out of the globe`s gutter and put it back on track.

Even the internet faction for Ron Paul has died, but most of that was international people going "HEY!!! IDIOT AMERICANS!!! GET THIS GUY IN!!!!"... it just didn`t/isn`t working and it`s a historical loss.

I`m so down with the political IQ test. Where you can`t vote unless you score high enough in a test which proves your vote actually has intelligence, research, and reason behind it. Seriously, stupidity is the epic fail of democracy.

American democracy is in the shitter and has been. There is no such thing as informed opinion.

Just look at American Idol to get a good idea on how polluted our voting and attention spans are.

But oh how we love controversy. Obama vs Clinton is all people talk about. First black pres against first woman pres... who cares if they will be a good president.. the controversy is so damn tasty!

^ Minor issues always occupy the mind of the average idiot, especially when its literally as simple as black and white, or in this case, black and woman.

The only way to truly keep a government in check is to make sure the electorate is well informed and making a real effort to stay that way. Too many people rely on the tv to form their opinions for them, but its painfully obvious that real journalism and the best interests of the country mean very little to the companies and organizations that people rely on most.

At the heart of the issue is society itself, western society cares very little about the things that really matter. Celebrities are worshiped, intelligence is ignored, superstition is held with respect, laziness is the norm.

Kids are not taught what they really need to know as citizens. They are taught to obey, to listen, not question.

I am proud to be a Canadian, but Ron Paul is the only person I`ve heard from in recent years that makes me wish I was able to vote for him. The roots of the United States are all in good soil; why not return to them and thus regenerate the country instead of continuing down so many disastrous roads?
