^ check out Cung Le on youtube... he does sanda and fights in UFC... beat frank shamrock ... his record is 15 wins and 0 losses...w/ 10 KO...but still... tho i love sanda... its biggest weakness is that it doesnt have groundwork moves like bjj

edit: And also Cung Le broke Frank`s arm with a very hard kick at the end of the third round, which forced Frank to quit before the fourth round bell.

just a thought: could the white guy actually have won but becuz they dun wanna lose face and announce to the world (or the western viewers) that one of their best uprising student had lost, the judges (of course with sketchy chinese government pressure) had to give the win to the kid?

ok. few things. didn`t fight wing chun master cause that master would have killed him. that guy has trained his ass off. you don`t want to fight someone like that. ufc, how would they do against that? not well. because ufc, like almost everything on this show, is sport. not fighting. it is full contact. yes. people can be hurt. yes. fighting? no. ufc is full contact sparring. a fight means you can kick to the shin, knee cap, strike the throat, eyes, rip off ears, strike the back of the head. any number of things that would constitute a real fight, not sparring. which is probably why people don`t have real fights. someone would die. ufc and all things like it are sport. not bad, just sport. bbj? good in mma, sure. it is one on one with rules. bbj when you are in a bar and you take someone down and then his boys are kicking you in the head... not so good. people get caught up in "it`s the ultimate test", sorry but it`s not. some of this gung fu info was spot on. other parts not so much. the wing chun master had excellent skill and power. the guys on the show make their decisions on size/speed. clearly that is not the only thing that matters given that from a few inches away the wing chun guy was hurting people with "pulled" punches. you want to rush or wrestle that? good luck. kicking. why kick to the head. such a long distance to travel with the risk of being caught/swept. you ever been kicked in the shin? it will take you out of a fight quick. that`s why in traditional gung fu you do bone conditioning so you can give an take all at the expense of the person you fight, not yourself. kick someone in the knee cap? fight over. good luck beating someones ass with your shit twisted and bones sticking out the back. tiger claw was explained half assed at best. tiger claw is essentially a palm strike to start and becomes tiger claw, fu jau. it knocks your opponent away only to have them be jerked back by the ripping of the tiger claw. it is a jarring motion. not meant for continuous locking. you strike and rip. separating joints, ligaments, muscle and so forth. you have to have strong hands and even must condition your finger tips so your hands/fingers can withstand the punishment being dished out. gung fu, no i am not misspelling it, is seriously under rated. it is designed for combat. combat= disfigurement, loss of limbs, and death. it`s serious shit. ufc and that other stuff is sport. it`s not a dis. it even says so itself. that one inch punch. that shit is real. bruce lee, jackie chan, jet li. not just hollywood. real, very real. don`t get caught up in wire fu. that`s hollywood. besides, how long were the mma guys with the people in china? a week. trying to master a life time of work in a week is just weak thinking. there is no final plain for a gung fu practitioner. it`s the love of the martial aspect and the art aspect. and you train till death. it is a life journey.
