and trust me this documentary is VERY awesome VERY informative and I HIGHLY recommend watching it. Take advice from this "emo dipshit" , you`ll love this documentary all about how we can change and control reality and all this is scientifically proven ;)

^ Thanks for the link, I`ll check it out. I`ve been interested in this sort of stuff for since around 2000 when I picked up my first book regarding it.. ever since I`ve read everything I can get my hands on, and watched as much as possible.
The only unfortunate aspect of it, is it`s impossible to really explain certain things to others since it`s hard to go in to great depth on things off the top of your head, yet easy for them to pick it apart since a lot of it defies what we accept as reality.

^ yeah aids sauce, see im not that bad of a guy and I don`t believe you to be either. they movie is DEEP, it goes very deep and it also explains things in a way that it is easy to understand, it goes into, emotions dimensions, how we create and manipulate our own reality, it is very interesting, it is more like a movie because it shows a woman going through a day and her emotions ect ect. and then the scientists explain how the emotions work, how we perceive things and a LOT more. I am sure youll enjoy the documentary. I knew the link would work. after you watch it let me know what you think about it.

It`s a movie starring Marlee Matlin, a kind of combination of comedy, drama and mystic science lesson. I was curious too, and looked it up. The story ABOUT it is more interesting than the movie itself. It`s made by filmmakers from a mystic "school of enlightenment" called Ramtha, and is their take on science (not science itself). A comment on IMDB from an exasberated physics student questions whether anything is factual in this movie.

Some of the less flattering reviews on rottentomatoes call it "lumbering docudrama", "there are two minor problems with the film: bad science and it`s a bad movie", "clumsy hybrid of romatic comedy and New Age infomercial". IMDB says the movie was spoofed in "Scary Movie 4".

FYI, electrons don`t pop in and out of existence. If they did, they would change the properties of the elements and chemical bonds. That statement is a gross oversimplification. As a holder of a BS in electrical engineering, I can tell you that electrons are best described by their probability distributions (as the movie states), but they do not "pop in and out of existence". They change states, have wavelike properties, and the act of observation typically adjusts the properties of the very small particles being observed, but "they pop in and out of existence" is very misleading. Some components of sub-atomic particles are more elusive . . . but the clip misses that.

Quantum physics is indeed a mind-blowing idea, but not like this. Give me a kooky mystic who worships science over a creationist anytime, tho.

As NYCJockCub said, this video has some assumptions based on shaky evidence.
Indeed particles appear from `nowhere` and disappear again but i`m talking about quarks (smaller than electrons and way smaller than atoms) but theese appear because background energy fluctuates randomly and and that randomness is sometimes enough to condens into matter.
We don`t need to make science weirder than it is, it`s weird enough.
Even string theory that takes us a step into multiple dimmensions does not have any base/proof of this beeing true, it only NEEDS more dimmensions for the mathematics to work.

The `What the bleep do we know` movie is a completely unscientific, the-secret-like-new-age nonsense.

Really, it`s horrible. They mix a droplet of real science with loads of wrong interpretations of quantum mechanics with a side of completely made-up nonsense.

Still, you might want to watch it, so see how silly and pseudo-scientific some of the new-age believers are getting.

I was skeptical, firstly, because there were no names to the people that were talking. Then they bring up an example that one of the mystics said that "She would like to believe".

Pardon, but I don`t care what you "believe" or would "like to believe". If Caribbean natives could not see ships on the ocean because they had no preconceived notion of a clipper ship, how does that explain how newborns function at all?

Secondly, if they`re so far away that he cannot match an existing pattern to the visual input of his eyes, how did he see waves on the ocean? The ocean is a massive amount of waves. Thirdly... fuck it, this documentary is full of shit.

First of all they do not pop, Matter is nothing else but frequency trveling trough a medium like the vaccuum or air for instance, thats right sound travels trough vaccuum wich means soemething elemental bends or takes shape of the frequency. Like I somewhat explained earlier. When I was younger I started getting a keen interest in new age spirituality like many people do.. however I`ve always been of an extremely scientific mind. The concepts in new aged spirituality interestingly enough transcend in to science in many ways. That is what I am truly interested in, forging the gap between spirituality and the supernatural and science. I think that all things can be explained scientifically, alas we`re just stupid monkeys trying to sort things out ^_^

It`s a docudrama, the storyline is secondary to the information presented, its just a way of illustrating the concepts that would normally be difficult to understand. A great movie if your into that "thinking" stuff.
