So you can spend 10 times the energy via fossil fuel to release the hydrogen and oxygen from their respective states. Not worth it. Instead look for energy free methods of extracting H2 and O2.

i remember seeing a show where, some sort of anti rust, 2 amps and an electrode submerged into water with a piece of rusty metal can completely remove rust and bring metal to a shine.
All done by using electrolysis

^ depending on the voltage u might or might not get a shock, but if its only 12v u wont feet it, and if its only a single finger its pretty safe since the circuit doesn`t cross ur heart, u cant even feel 12v btw, i dont think it would get across ur fatty finger skin and such

Theoretically,

since cars produce so much extra electricity, You can make one of these in a canister and funnel the Hydrogen to a Holding tank > run the Hydrogen into your engine with a N.O.S injection kit, and you should get great gas mileage if used properly to aid acceleration.

its been done a few years ago a guy made a dune buggy that ran off electrolysis no gas you will never see it in production atleast for another 10 years till we can sponge all the money we can out of gas and people demand it as a mass
