There was a first year undergraduate student at my school who found himself a planet for a summer school project. Just goes to show you that as the techniques become more refined we will continue to discovery planets probably at an exponential rate.

That said, I`d put my money on the fact that there`s life out there. Intelligent life is a whole other thing...

oh yeah and that guy from UC berkeley looks like someone out of the 80s

That rocker/emo girl in there just confused me. It seems like she`s repeating everything the narrator says and dumbing it down for the retards.

indeed there was, it`s 20 light years away, and the orbit of it`s star only takes 13 days! That`s a short year...

I think that there is several Earths like ours. With in infinite number of planets the odds has to be bigger for our planet NOT to be unique?

Anyways, the distances between the planets means that lifeforms contacting each other would be extremely hard to reach, just because every lifeform as we know it is very fragile.

So allthough the odds of contact between lifeforms is low, once the bridge between lifeforms and planets has been made the odds of that lifeform surviving would be a lot larger.

Mining and using several different planets as an inhabitant would be a major advantage for any lifeform.

Most earth-like planet discovered so far (that I know of); rocky surface, very hospitable temperature range, and a chance of liquid water.
