What I think people against Religion don`t understand, is that Religion isn`t something that you`re a member of and that`s that, it`s something you find within yourself.

It`s a longing for good, and doing right. Something that lies really deep within the soul. A longing for God.

I know you guys say "oh well all about the priests that fondled little boys" "why do religious people kill?". These people are not true to their religion, as a matter of fact, FAR from it. So please, don`t label them as Religious and turn them into ambassadors for religion.

What`s the Holy Bible?

Well if you want to take a break from reading about how the Bible oh so contradicts itself, and how it`s bad, because some anti religious person thinks so and took the time to actually pick up a Bible, you`d realize how much good is in there. It`s a guide to life pretty much. Treat others equally, don`t kill, don`t steal, help your brothers and sisters. A lot of good in there.

I`m confused as to why people are so threatened by Religion, no one`s holding a gun to your head telling you to believe. You obviously can believe whatever you want. Why hate one someone else`s beliefs?

I put this video up because i have the freedom to do so, you may not necessarily agree with it, but that doesn`t give you the right to spew a bunch of hate.

hmm... Interesting video but it doesn`t really show the relationship between God in schools and premarital sex, abortions, child pornography, corrupt politicians, etc. If you think that all the above is was caused by banning Creationism from schools then you need to do more research.

You have every right to believe in God and I respect that. But I don`t and I do not appreciate you saying that Godless Bastards like me are the cause of all your problems.

While I generally agree with your statements about religion, AND was about post a message saying I agree with you, I went to the website www.afa.net, as the video suggests.

On the upper left corner, there is a DVD for sale, "THEY`RE COMING TO YOUR TOWN", a hate-filled DVD demonizing gay people.

Agent87 is the worst kind of Christian: a religious fundamentalist masquerading as an intellectual. Or, a moderate religious who is unknowingly supporting the kind of hate that would have made Jesus cringe in disgust.

Shame on you, Agent87. All your talk of "treating others equally" and "help your brothers and sisters" is clearly surface-speak, rather than action, if you are supporting this kind of hate rhetoric and "spewing a bunch of hate".

God in schools and premarital sex:

a religious person views sexuality as something sacred, something to be thought about as a sacred bond between a man and a women. Substance, love, caring for each other. Joy for each other, where the can experience each other physically with all the right intention in the world.

If you look at sex as just something we do, no big deal at all, it`s very easy to make a mistake and have a baby at a young age, or unplanned children. See what i`m saying?



Child pornography: well pornography in general is frowned upon by most religious people, because of reasons stated above. Intercourse between a man and a woman is something that is considered sacred. If you have sex with a woman you don`t love, video tape it and sell it on the internet or in video stores, the foundation behind sex isn`t there. An exploitation of human desire.

I can`t see anyone sane religious or non-religious, justifying taking pictures of naked children.


Corrupt politicians: Religion teaches that we should not lie, deceive, steal. Some very fundamental teachings that are very abundant in the Bible.


I didn`t hear Creationism being mentioned in this video. Did you watch the whole thing?

NYCJockCub: I wasn`t aware of that video, and don`t really know much about it. To be honest, yes i do see myself as a fundamentalist.

After quickly reading over the dvd description, I can see why you say they`re demonizing. I see it`s about homosexuality, and that`s an ideology that i`m against. Don`t get me wrong here, i don`t hate the people that are homosexual, i simply strongly disagree with their lifestyle.

No true religious person is going to go out and gay bash or kill a homosexual, that would be against their religion.

It`s just that there are opposing views. One side believes that only a man and woman can truly love each other and have a fruitful relationship.

While the other side believes that 2 men or 2 women can be married to each other, and have a good life and maybe adopt children to have a family.


If it`s a Christian community, i can see why they`re not too happy about having people in their city council being gay activists.

Why?

Well i`m sure it`s because their fundamental beliefs don`t teach that it`s ok for 2 men or 2 women to be together. That`s just the way it is man.

Wow, I guess we should just dump all our responsibilities towards society, people, and children. Religion will fix it all. We aren`t to blame for anything, it`s all those people who created separation of church and state.

I mean, come on, God saying "I`m not allowed in school" was priceless. But seeing that it was posted in all seriousness, I`m glad I didn`t vote it up, and agree that there should be a way to negative vote propaganda :)
