i`m a fan of bobby lee and madtv, but this particular skit was not funny. i miss the days when skits were well-crafted with expositions, foreshadowing, escalations, and other writing techniques. nowadays, it`s all about portraying racial stereotypes in a way that`s too ridiculous to be considered offensive.

btw, the mom and dad were using japanese cultural references while the grandpa was using chinese. it`s like joking around about french stereotypes by making cracks about spaghetti, lucky charms, and tea-time.

this skit had a good premise, but the execution was weak.

^ and I still find it funny... I mean, how many Korean references are there that are well known to the western public? I doubt many people would miss the kimono and the Fu Manchu moustache there. It`s not only about Korean stereotype, but the inability to recreate a Korean stereotype to "love our child", IMHO.
It would be better if she could point out that "you`re not even acting like Koreans" though...

was that supposed to be a `canadian` accent at the end? i`ve been to canada a few times and i rarely heard the bobby`s world mom`s accent, maybe it`s like the US`s southern accent

i know why this isnt funny...i like bobby lees stand up, but i couldnt watch more than a few seconds of this...its not funny because its MAD TV, ive never been able to laugh at anything ive ever seen on this pathetic excuse for sketch comedy. its nothing in comparison to kith or ucb.
