It`s almost useless to perform such intricate footwork for a stadium audience, no?

And the sound of synchronized stamping on the wood is recorded beforehand, and amplified, no? Live microphones on the stagefloor, amplified, would pick up a lot of extraneous noises, like the audience cheering and clapping.

I didn`t realize that tap dancing drew that kind of a crowd. Seriously how did they get that many people in there? Was this a W.O.W convention or what? I guess the beauty of the art form is lost on me:)
