Was a clean shot, says Marleau. Took it like a champ, still played. Mad respect for Pat. Monstrous hit from Sarich, he changed the momentum of the game . Great come back win for Calgary. PS: That flashback hit they pulled by Sarich destroyed that other kid, wow.

^ Fuck ya it is. I hate people who look at hockey and say "hockey is just a bunch of goons." 1. You obviously are a pussy. 2. You do not understand the mentality of a hockey player, not because you never played but because you’re scared of getting hurt.

General Hockey mentality "You bleeding from the head" got a stapler? "You have blisters the size of quarters in your feet" that is why they make duck tape. "you lost 6 teeth from a puck traveling at 100+ MPH" get me a straw "you lost an eye" I have another.

Point being: Athletes make excuses for why they can not play on; hockey players make solutions to why they can.

Props to Marleau, he didn`t even miss his next shift, he just bled and waited until he had time to deal with it.

^Yup, I keep saying hockey is better than basketball and I get voted down and yet, the ones that voted me down never reply to why basketball is better than hockey. Basketball is so damn boring it`s the only sport that plays music IN GAME. There`s no physical contact whatsoever. If you do it`s a foul, something as small as slapping the opponents other hand. It`s ridiculous. There are so many elements to hockey that basketball can`t even come to par with it. Seriously, vote me down again basketball fans but leave behind your reason why. LOL I will tear you up.

^^hockey is one kickass sport and my definitely my #1 sport to watch. but silentsky i`d have to disagree about basketball being boring....i still think basketball is pretty entertaining too... (baseball on the other hand.... lol)

definitely marleau is an amazing hockey player. took that hit like a man, made no excuses, and came back out pissed and motivated to take it to the flames. and he for sure has been one of the best players on the sharks this series. say what you will about his below average regular season play, but he is for sure a true leader on that team and is tearing it up during this series like he usually ends up doing in the playoffs.

You can say which sport is fun to watch, and which isn`t. But its really just like anything else. It comes down to your own personal preference, and also, your experience with it. CPSMAN, said he thinks baseball is boring to watch. My guess is that he never played the sport or just sucked really bad if he did and doesn`t know much about it. There is SO much more to baseball then just pitching a ball and trying to hit it. And this goes for any and every sport out there. If you know whats going on in the sport its fun to watch. Lets just all agree on that before this thread turns into a gigantic argument about which sport is better to watch then others. Its all opinion, and thats why you could never get those opinion essays wrong in school, cause its from each persons own view.

The only fact in any sport is that which revolves around Basketball. THAT sport definitely blows large donkey cock. Look it up...

Put it this way, if it`s crappy, then the sport wouldn`t continue. A long running sport league wouldn`t be where it is today if it wasn`t for dedicated fans that truly enjoys the sport. This means that football (soccer and american football), hockey, basketball, baseball, etc etc. are all sports with their own niche of fans. If no one likes it, then no one will support it. So stop arguing which one is better.
