UT2k3 was rubbish, atari actually paid a 10 euro refund to people who baught UT2k4 and UT2k3 to compensate for the crapfest of 2k3

the classic UT was great fun, UT2k4 was great fun, UT3 feels rather boring

Its for noob kiddies who want to play with big guns, and uber nerds who like to play out of date games just so they can "pwn" noob kiddies. CS falls into this category too.

some of that is a BS...
they were competing with quake, and primarily with quake 3 arena.
but i`ll never forget UT assault maps, especially with matrix mod, and that original sniper rifle, and girl die scream, ctf_face, crf_lava_giant, fuck, that music inspires me now (ok i`m a musician).
also after original UT that game started to become more arcade...
ut2003 was dead born like quake 3, because of being arcade shit. ut2004 and cars added something to it, but the last one is a deep shit...

I knew a programmer at Epic while they were making UT, and got to see like 5 legs come off a guy when he blew up. I think they fixed that.

The first UT was and still is the best tournament-type FPS ever IMO.

I loved the nice clean technological-tactical look and the weapons were extremely original. I was disappointed by how the other ones turned.
