Montel Turns The Tables On A Fox Morning...

Variety reported that The Montel Williams Show has been cancelled just 3 days after appearing on Fox and Friends. I hope it is not because he supported the troops. Jan/26/08 08:41 ET Montel Williams turned the question on live television when he choose to focus on the solders dying in Iraq rather than the passing of Heath Ledger. Montel did not return for a further segment.

sadly, the truth is that these studios only do it with the viewers in mind. And what I mean is, the masses. Think about it - do you honestly think the media will spend their limited resources covering every single tragic event or heroic act our nation`s armed forces is involved in? Or to be even more precise, do documentaries, stories, and reveal the backgrounds of every individual soldier (who is as important as any person such as a celebrity) that has fallen? It`s simply not pragmatic. And, nonetheless, news coverage of celebrities` deaths or other domestic news that may appeal to the masses other than seemingly repetitive news would be likely to gain at least a moderate amount of viewers. It is the media`s job to convey information to the public, to sustain their corporation`s business, and to ultimately maximize their shareholders value, as any business is concerned. Look at things with different perspectives, no matter how hard it may be.


Regardless, I still think Fox is a big, giant, deuche wad.

by saying that its simply not pragmatic to have documentaries, stories, and the backgrounds of each and every soldier told and made available, are you then assuming that doing all this for Heath Ledger is? Heath was an awesome actor but he killed himself when American soldiers die for their country every day.

Montel`s (and my) point is that if they are going to do this running documentary and interview and story-telling of Heath Ledger, isnt that time better spent telling the story of just one or one dozen soldiers? Or true heroes of the nation and world?

And also notice how i said "made available." Montel realizes it is unpractical to do something on each and every person that dies every day but to have Heath Ledger`s life broken down to the point of researching the cereal he ate that morning rather than just having the names and basic information available on our soldiers serving in Iraq is an abomination and a failure of our media. Period.

montel williams is so fucking right though, don`t get me wrong heath ledger dying is a sad story and we mourn for him, but what montel was saying was absolutely correct. the bitch on the right even started laughing as he was trying to tell the story of the IED that exploded killing our marines, how anyone can still watch fox news is beyond me.

I swear the next time you get the chance and can see a fox building somewhere over there in new york, take a shit in a box and throw it at them and put bill oreilly`s name on it. I`m sure he`d throw a hissy fit and talk about some guy shitting in a box with his name on it on his show, but we all know deep down inside him that he would eat it afterwards.

Montel should ask Sylvia Brown for the names of those soldiers. Better yet, let her talk to them and bring their families closure.
