Make sure to bring a change of clothes, or wear less obvious clothing under and stick the loud DJ stuff into the empty record bag - otherwise the bouncers on the way out will be less nice than on the way in.

I used to spin at a local joint and when I went out for smokes, I would pretend I was the bouncer(pass the time, and good laughs). I`m 6`5 +200 lbs (as most people over 6`0 are), and people were handing me ID`s all night. It was funny to me and mine, until the real bouncer showed up, then he tried to get all "big man" about it. Good thing I was the DJ, otherwise I woulda got my ass kicked.

So, in conclusion, being the DJ does the trick... plus, the back room is always fun. That hot bartender always hangs out back there, and she`s usually as easy as pretending you`re the bouncer.

I can`t believe I`ve never thought of that. Although, I usually do DJ at the parties...but for the ones I don`t, this would work quite nicely.

I wonder if they`d give out free drinks...

Used to do this when I first started out DJing but not just so I can get in to clubs for free, but in case one of the DJ cancelled at last minute I pursuaded promoter to let me on. Most ofthem didn`t but some of them did so it was alright.
