A protester armed with a fire extinguisher let it off as the flame was being transferred between runners.

Olympics = politics, we live in a free culture so the"little guys"have the right to use it like china is using it.Since when is propagating something a bad thing? Only people with no arguments will object to propaganda instead of whats been propagated, is that what YOU want to propagate assmaster?

this tibet situation is ridiculous. tibets been ruled by china for the past 40 some years - noone has particularly cared. same with taiwan - taiwan has tried to declare their independence numerous times, to no avail.

the tibetan government in exile claims 140 deaths, and the chinese government claims 20. what happened to the millions who get massacred in africa? does darfur have to wait till the olympic games gets staged in their country until they have a voice? china recently got taken off the top 10 worst human rights violators, i dont see free north korea slogans anywhere. oppression there is worse than ever. and now, people are jumping on the political bandwagon, chanting free tibet. wtf do these people know about tibet, in all honesty. i challange many of them to locate it on a map, describe their culture, or name a personal affiliation.

Who gives a fuck about the olympics or athletics in general nowadays anyway!?

The only people who seem to get excited about it are the athletes themselves, ex-athletes, TV companies that have spent millions on buying the TV rights and the big businesses that spend millions sponsoring it.

A load of boring, pointless shit if you ask me.
