Fiber Optic H2O

A 532nm, 50mW laser is shot through a stream of water. The amazing fiber optic internal reflective properties of water is exposed. Music by Kevin MacLeod.

Exactly.
"fiber optic internal reflective properties "
First it`s called refraction, not "fiber optic reflective properties."

If this blows your mind answer this.

Q:What else refracts light?

A:Anything that doesn`t absorb it.

OMG AMAZING!!

You mean photons, the particle waves actually have mass and collide with other mass which in-turn alters their path / trajectory etc..??

______________

Yes thats exactly what I mean, and that you are a stupid child that needs to finish grade school before you get access to the internet to share with everyone else your discovery that light refracts and that you can wipe your ass with one hand!

Amazing STUFF Man keep it coming!!!!!

^^ since when do photons have mass?

Photons do not have mass. They have momentum. Zero rest mass. Momentum and mass are not the same, even if intricately related. Photons are even categorized as a "massless particle."

Although frankly we dont even know if it is a particle, or a wave... or neither. Not that I want to be discussing wave/particle duality with you. Its a pretty played out subject. One you know all about im sure.

I might also point out that you look like a retard calling everyone a child. (I can actually respect you mistaking a photon for a particle with mass, the child thing is beyond stupid though. smarten up.)

^ They do have mass, do some research. It`s been a highly debated subject for a long time; and is still ongoing.

They do have a finite amount of mass, but so small that we do not currently have the precession to measure it.

The concept of mass that I speak of here is not proper mass but inertial mass and passive gravitational mass. And yes. The photon has both.

So currently, whether or not a photon has mass or not may be based on the terms of which you define mass. It is currently not unanimously agreed upon amongst top physicists.

Not to mention the process of cooling atoms known as "laser cooling" gives great reason to support the likelihood of photons having mass.

^^ This is actually one of the subjects im better read on, by the way. And no, it is NOT now believed that photons have a rest mass (which is what mass is by definition.) Like I said, momentum and mass are NOT the same. They are only the same mathematically, in the REAL WORLD they are very different. By your reasoning, there shouldnt be an arguement on whether photons have mass or not, because they have momentum. get it?

Seriously, if you were stating that photons have momentum... ya, and water is wet. why would you try to sound like a brain stating that light moves? great big resounding duh.

They were perfectly right to call it reflection. The light bounced off the wall of the stream and curved down with it.

the light that escaped the stream of water was refracted but you can`t even see that without a fog machine.

Protons have no rest mass, other wise they would have infinite mass when traveling at the speed of light. And they have measured/calculated the momentum of a photon as long ago as Einstein with his famous equation: E2 = m2c4 + p2c2 (E=mc2 for objects at rest, E=p(momentum)c for massless objects)

They can calculate the relativistic mass(energy) of photons, but it is different at different wavelengths.

All of this has been agreed upon by physicists for quite some time.

Why are you so militant about correcting everything that is said on this site, it seems that you are wrong more than the people you "correct" and call children.

^Bitterness for certain reasons.

No offense neon nor funberg. But until you get into the new discussions going on today such as in my college physics 4 class. There is quite alot of evidence that photons have mass.

Einstein was great, but the problem with science today is it is all a theory. Because the moment we call it a law, and then later discover something different. We would have no order by calling it a law, it would make use look like arrogant fools.

ummmmmm no.
E=mc2 E=energy m=mass c2=speed of light x speed of light.

Neon, go read up on laser cooling and how it works before coming back plz.

^If you still are not confusing rest mass with energy , and think that if a photon were to theoretically stop, it would have a mass, you need to go to a different school. There`s a reason the give the "mass" of photons in MeV (million electron volts) not Kg.

"ummmmmm no.
E=mc2 E=energy m=mass c2=speed of light x speed of light."

What`s your problem with E2 = m2c4 + p2c2? that`s the full equation and is the same as E=mc2 if p(momentum) = 0, like i said.

And no I am not a physicist, I am an mechanical/high explosives engineer, but I do read Feynman books for leisure, hence the avatar.

Some of the shit I say may be wrong (for which I apologies in advance), but I try to confirm what I think in text books, and yes google searches, before I say them. I`m not calling you a "child" or "stupid" I`m just trying to correct you.
