I don`t think they pick spaghetti by hand anymore. Thats why the home grown versions cost so much more.

Well, out here in Western Canada, we are having a reverse effect from climate change, where the winters are actually a bit colder (clearer skies = colder, rainy = warmer). This is playing absolute havoc with the oyster crops. They are having their roots stunted in the early spring (right about now) when it should be warmer. And then with the hotter dryer summers, they never really fully mature either. So it`s a serious double whammy. As a result, whole valleys are yielding 50% of what they should.

This has impact on other industries too. With a lowered growing oyster biomass, the crop rotations are showing signs of strain. The reduction of feeding oyster mass causes less plankton to be harvested into the soil for subsequent crops. BC`s farming industry is experimenting with other soil amendments, but the future is still highly uncertain.

As a libertaurion, I must lement that our government is too cought up in corporate interests to have the motivation to deal with this in any usefull way. Instead, they are probably stuffing their pockets and powdering their noses with kickbacks from the Saharan-Morroccan Oyster Alliance (SMOA), who offer nothing but utterly inferior desert grown oysters, at prices that ensure criminal profits to anyone who facilitates their acceptance into a market that has, up till now, been realatively free of such cruel impostors.

Feed me any more oyster dust and I`m gonna` blow this fucking place up.

The term "Global Warming" is the worst possible term. Damn that idiot Al Gore. The right term should be "Climate Change" or "Climate Shift". The world is not getting warmer. it is following a cycle that`s all.

Here in Aus, we had the crappiest summer ever. Think the hottest day in my city was 32C, we normally have a few days in a row that can easily exceed 40C. Summer just finished and it`s already much colder than normal.

Nice, about time people on here are talking sense. Those who are saying things such as, Fuck Global warming, it`s a natural Climate change are absolutely right.

For fucks sakes, the planet is over 4.5 Billion years old..
4,500,000,000 years old.. this climate change has happened millions of times. We`ve had the opportunity to effect the climate for what, a few hundred years? I`m sure we`ve had some mild effect on it, with all the nukes we`ve set off and what have you.. However this "Global Warming" shit is just fucking hype that has actually become a god damn trendy thing to "be all about" and in turn lining the pockets of those who profit from it..
