The title of this is backward...the Hubble Deep Field images are looking toward the beginning of time, not the end.

FYI, other than the fact of star formation being much greater in the past and the appearance of more "oddball" galaxies in the images, there is no obvious evidence that we really are seeing the "beginning" of time...many astronomers believe that the universe is emmensely older and larger than we can possibly imagine.
