in all fairness, the Germans did have much better tanks than the American military, better armor and more firepower. A one on one fight would almost prove disastrous (especially early in the war for America, the soldiers called their tanks "zippo boxes" because they lit up like a zippo lighter). American tanks however, were much more reliable (didnt break down much) and could be produced faster and in greater quantities than what Germany could ever do.

one of the british tanks was actually called "Tommy Kocher" which translates to "Tommy Cooker" because it went off in flames all by itself. Tommy was the German expression for british - just like kraut for the germans.

german tanks were more advanced than anyone else`s, but it`s not good to lie to your troops about the enemy`s capabilities and have them underestimate them :/ it probably does more harm than good

The German tanks, like a lot of German weapons and equipment, were over-engineered. This meant that while they performed very well, their manufacture was very costly and time consuming.

The American, British and especially the Russian tanks were much cheaper to produce, and would often outnumber the German tanks by a considerable margin.

^ no, it was more or less hitler`s stupidity. Without him they could have won, but most likely no matter what happened the Russians were going to come in any how and take over all of europe and the Germans didn`t realize that until the russians started mobilizing.

T-34 was toast with the introduction of the Panther tanks so the russians created the IS-1 and the IS-2 near the end of the war the undisputed king of the tanks during the war.
