Armed Citizen 1 - Bad Guy 0

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Police said a desk clerk shot a man who was attempting to rob an east side motel on Saturday night. Officers said that shortly before 9:30 p.m., a man walked into the Super 8 Motel, located at 2055 Brice Rd., showed a gun and demanded money. Police said the desk clerk on duty then shot the alleged robber, Antoine Stephens. Stephens, 20, was transported to Grant Medical Center and was in serious condition on Sunday morning, NBC 4 reported. Police said he would be charged with aggravated robbery. 3 shots fired, all 3 hit the bad guy, gun was a Glock 23, 40cal with 165g Gold dots no charges filed aginst shooter, bad guy went to prison.

^ He used his co-worker as a shield so he could draw his weapon without the robber seeing. Notice that just before he steps out from behind her, he quick draws his pistol. That`s exactly how that scenario should have played out. Kudos to him.

Sadly, stories like this will never receive the attention it deserves. With a little training, everyone can handle situations like these in this manner. Embrace the gun as an ally. They can only help you if you know what to do and when to do it.

Glad it turned out well, and he appeared to be pretty efficient with what he did. However, he also endangered the lives of innocent people to save what couldn`t really be more than a few hundred dollars.

Yep, vote me down. There was another vid up here not 2 weeks ago, same thing, but the robber killed 1 of the 4 guys and critically injured another.
