For every issue, there`s always multiple versions to "the truth". This video is definitely biased, but I`m glad it provided an alternative view to what we often see on TV in the west.

If a group of people want to become independent from their country, do they have the right to do so? What if Quebec voted to separate from Canada, or California from US. Hypothetically speaking, would they have the right to do so simply if their people wanted to?

I don`t really know.

Most people chant the free Tibet because it`s fashionable, and that`s sad. But, this vid is clearly biased. Straight out of the fascist handbook, just like the shrub George Bush: Repeatedly call the opposition what YOU actually are to confuse and frighten people. I call it the hypocrisy effect, and it`s being used more and more often. E.G. I`m a thief, and I don`t want you to see what I`m doing, so I point at you and yell "THIEF!" to confuse you and the people around us. It`s easier to steal amid chaos.

Don`t vote this video down! Make it to the front page so people can talk about it and see a bigger picture than just "FREE TIBET!!!" all over the place. Even if the video is biased it shouldn`t be removed.

What the hell! Most of these arguments aren`t even arguments for Tibet being a part of China.

"China being a multicultural country." Yeah, most countries are but that doesn`t mean that everyone wants to a be a part of that country.

"China has been a expanding empire for the last 1000 years". Sure yeah, people conquer land and claim it has their own, however that are recorded events(a lot of them I might add) where a military force has controlled a region for a long time while the native population hates it and then breaks free. A lot of countries we have today are break away parts of bigger countries.

"Once North America frees the indians and such we will free Tibet in no time." They did that quite some time ago. There are lot of indian tribes that have complete sovereignty of pieces of land in the US. They can form their own laws and such. Which is what a lot of Tibetans are asking for, a lot of people just want China to leave them alone to deal with their own problems and such, but still be a part of China.

"British had control over Tibet and treated the natives like shit." How is that an argument for Tibet being a part of China! It only shows that Tibet has gotten shit since the start of the last century!

"Dalai Lama was a bad leader and treated his people badly." Sure I don`t doubt that. However, China isn`t what I would call a model for a free society(Tiananmen sqaure anyone) should that mean that another nation should just come over and take control over your country?

"CIA want to free Tibet." Still I fail to see how that is an argument for Tibet belonging to China it only shows that the US does all it can to fuck with commies like they have done since the `50s.

"China invests in Tibet." Good, a valid point, however just because you built a house doesn`t mean you should permanently own the land and the people living in the house.

Countries split apart and unite all the time live with it. Since China is huge country built on conquering and uniting it is only logical to assume that there is going to be some people saying "We want independence!".

To be honest, I have heard about the CIA involvement in Tibet, and like Tada said, it all comes down to the U.S. messing with the commies. Valid points were made concerning the Dali Lama`s leadership and the investments that the Chinese have made withing the country which gives weight to the argument..........Which is all lost by the repeated use of fuck throughout the entire presentation and the tone which assumes that the entire western world is full of impudent children.

Simply put, it looks like propaganda, sounds like propaganda, and most likely is propaganda but that dose not mean that there are no valid facts that can be taken away from the presentation. Only problem is that you need to dig under a pile of self-righteous patriotism.

(I am an American, so put simply: don`t bullshit a bullshitter)

Im canadian and I wouldn`t acknowledge tibet unless the WHOLE popluation was for it. If its only a minority thats causing a ruckus right now then no Tibet shouldn`t seperate. Its like Quebec, btw fuck you quebec on trying to seperate after all the shit we do for you.

letting go of quebec isn`t a real argument because they were allowed to vote on whether to become their own country or not. The vote went in favour of staying with Canada. Even if Quebec seperated, it`ll become a us state, split Canada into 2 land masses and shit will ensue.

As for tibet, why don`t let Tibetans vote?

This is halarious... What ham fisted editing, and the music...well it really "brought a tear" to my eye. Guess if the area wishes independence, it`s better for a totalitarian government to send in the "security" forces than to develop a prosperous relationship and look like something better than they actually are. Don`t forget folks, these are the people who seem to have a habitual need to slaughter each other in the name of "group harmony". I can`t work out why didn`t he use chinese soundtrack, ripping off a good piece of music with unworthy propaganda. I bet ya, who ever made this video, lives in a free nation, like US, AUS. For what he takes for granted, doesn`t come easy in China. Even if Tibet is part of China, Tibetan and all of China deserve the right to with rights. Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, Freedom of movement etc.

I can`t workout why, the Western Leaders take no interest in freeing people from oppression. China, North Korea, Cuba, Burma many autocratic regimes should be dismantled for better of the world. Wait I forgot, there is no fact saying Tibet has any oil in it. If it did the Western Leaders would using this as an opportunity to their advantage. Maybe that what we might have to do, somehow convince the Western Leaders, that Tibet has abundant natural resources, then they might stop taking blind on this cruel injustice.
