Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but if yours is unsubstantiated by reason you will be royally shat on. At least you would be in an ideal world.

It angers me how they completely dismiss scientific facts and spread their jargon to these young , impressionable children.

Fake! There were no pirate fossils in the museum, either.

Sigh, I`ve given up on trying to reason with creationist, simply because they lack the intelligence to empirically reason with available evidence. Every time now when I`m told that evolution is "just a theory", I agree, and then tell them that gravity is also just a theory , and then encourage them to test it from a tall building.

There are so many things wrong with this, but the thing that scares me the most is that 50% of the US believes thinks evolution is wrong. I can understand if you have another scientific theory of life, as long as it is backed up by facts, but this is just insane.

Bottom line, man is faulty (like the Bible says), man wrote the Bible, therefore there are some parts of the Bible that may be faulty. and to say that the Bible was written by man through God is still not good enough, since how could we understand what an infinite being that created everything would want us to put? Just think about explaining the internet to someone that lived 2000 years ago.

God gave you a brain, use it, and there is nothing wrong with being Christian, and you can still be a great Christian while using science. I am sure God will still let you into Heaven even if you believed in evolution, becuase it`s not important how you got here but what you did with the time when you were here. Those two guys could do so much good if they didn`t put all their time into that museum, like feed the hungry or work with disabled kids.

draser, true. What many fundamentalists don`t realize is that there is no contradiction between Christianity and evolution. If there was such a contradiction, then why have there been (and continue to be) so many prominent Christian scientists? After all, don`t they understand their faith as well as any other Christian and don`t they understand science as well as any other scientist? Personally I`m not very bothered by whether a person holds evolution to be true, I care more about if they are decent acting people.

^^ We observe evolution. The fact that everything changes genetically after every generation is evolution. You are not a perfect copy of someone else, you are, infact, evolved from your parents. Heres a theoretical situation based off fact. You do need some basic knowledge of genetics to follow along though, nothing too complicated, just dominate and reccessive genes. All the properties that make us up are reccesive or dominate. For example, blue eyes are a recessive trait, while brown eyes are a dominate trait. If a person with blue eyes has a child with a person with brown eyes there is a 75 percent chance the childs eyes will be brown. So, as it stands, the Earth will one day be populated by almost entirely brown eyed people. Evolution in action. How can any sane person deny evolution?

Look at a common virus. It mutates so much after each generation that we cant cure it, even if we could cure the previous one. What do you call that, if its not evolution? do u want to use the word mutation? its the same thing. infact, its now believed that evolution is less of a slow process, and more something that happens quite quickly, ie, a mutation thats handed down from parent to child. People should observe their surroundings to figure out whats true. Common sense above all else. I wish common sense was more common.

This is a joke.

"This is just a philosophy, no facts behind it"

Ironically, there are less "facts" for Christianity/The Bible.

They`re basically making an argument that`s more accurate for their own beliefs.

Yeah, they try to discredit evolution by branding it "religion" and suggesting that creationism is science. So christianity is correct but religious thought process is wrong, there`s a bad case of doublethink if I ever saw one.

wtf. even if i were to decide to listen to their side of the debate, i`d be put off by their attitude. i also was taken back by the comment about boring fossils. how can he be an appropriate speaker about the topic in relation to his beliefs if he himself says it`s boring. how can they even be doing an `educational` tour if they`re constantly interjecting undisguised insults about other people`s ideas. people like them make me wonder if we deserve to continue to live as a species. we have come to a point in our planet`s history where creatures can wonder about and actually explore their own origins. it`s ok if people have different ideas, well not that ok sometimes, but people are entitled to have them. but the way they were influencing the kids deserves castration, or maybe getting hit by a truck or crushed by a giant turd that falls out of the sky.

Teaching children the truth about Science is important, but I would also take the time to point out that those two men are just dicks.
