On Saturday March 29, 2008, 24 cities around the world will participating in Earth Hour 2008. For one hour, from 8 pm to 9 pm, lights will be turned off (except where it may pose a safety hazard) by residents, businesses, corporations, and many other places of interest to conserve evergy and to send a word out to the world that something must be done to take a stand against Global Warming.
Help conserve energy by turning your lights off for one hour on Saturday March 29th at 8 pm. The energy conserved and the reduction in pollution in that one hour is equivalent to taking thousands of cars off the road.
What began as one city (Sydney, Australia - Earth Hour 2007) taking a stand against global warming caught the attention of the world.
