I have a million thoughts. I don`t even know where to begin. It`s a five. *big breath* First thing, as this is easy, I could have done without the consistant commentary. I understand the purpose of documenting names and badges. However, I dont need to be told they are clubbing everyone over and over, I can see it. If anything, most the commentary was more distracting than helpful. *break*

Ok, Ive done some thinking. Here it is. The camera man was more antagonzing than any of those other demonstraters. Not only was he not arrested, he WAS NOT BEATEN DOWN. He wasnt a target because he was white. (you didnt see him, but he sounds white, am I terrible for making this assumption?) That was the only difference between him and everyone else we just saw in that video. I did not see any violent acts from any protesters. It would actually hurt their campaigning to be violent in anyway. Not to mention they are budhists for christs sakes (pardon the irony.)

What we have witnessed is just what it looks like. An absolute atrocity.

Is America testing the water? Does this give us any insight of events to come?

On a side, and much smaller note. Its an interesting day to be alive. I carry a camera everywhere I go. 2 megapixels right in my pocket (its a phone.) As Im sure many many people do. We all get to sit front seat to the screening of "Doomsday." Stay tuned.

im sad.

Can someone get the "official" story on this so I might feel slightly better.

Great footage and serious respect goes to the guy who filmed this.

It`s pretty hard to watch this kind of police brutality and know that it happens almost everyday.

I know a lot of people will blame the US or look down on them for having cops like this. The sad thing is, living in Ontario, I`ve seen extremely similar things happen here in Canada. A great example was just recently in the past year, cops were exposed for dressing up as protesters and trying to create riots.

I dont get these protesters who resist arrest. im mean your being handcuffed by five officers, just lay still till you get to see a lawyer.
like someones gonna say: "oh, ok ill free tibet for you." because your throwing a tantrum.

^^ They have every right (at least they used to) to "throw a tantrum" as you like to put it. It was a peaceful walk around the block.

*If Im wrong, someone please inform me. I`m solely basing my opinion off of what I see in this video. I could use a broader perspective.

their "right to free speech" taken away from them!
You got to wake up <intended as advice and not insult)

This video is truly scary.

If they all had EMD Safety bracelets on, the police wouldn`t have had to beat anyone!

the major problem here is not the cops. the major problem is the commentators negligence. cops only protect themselves and the public for the most part. this is a circumstance near riot levels. these people should find safer ways to protest. how about trying to raise money and make it matter to someone. protesting clearly has no positive effect in this case.

bnine: i totaly agree with you that freespeech is important and people have rights.
but if a cops asks you to do something and you get in his face while hes surrounded by dozens of other protesters, your just asking to be subdued.
notice at the end the calmer protesters get to continue their protest.

Yelling at people that you will kill them doesnt calm the people or the situation. It sorta does the opposite, doesn`t it?

Give me a fucking break. Show the entire thing or don`t show any of it first of all. You just started it when the police try and stop them.

And when a police officer is trying to tell you to stop maybe you should stop and ask if there is a reason instead of ignoring them and continuing to walk.. I hate cops just as much as anyone else but this is getting fucking pathetic....you pseudo-revolutionaries get on the internet and talk shit but the fact is that these cops tried to stop the protestors for whatever reason (and until someone proves otherwise I am going to assume it was for peaceful reasons) and they wouldn`t listen...so the cops stepped it up a notch with the cars on the sidewalk and they kept being ignored....then they tried to physically stop them and what do you know...they resisted some more...so the police took them the fuck down. I am not paying for cops to go spend all day trying to control some retarded protestors...I am paying so they can save lives, which they can`t do if they gotta put up with this shit all the time.

Grow the fuck up and open your eyes. This is nothing, there are true injustices happening all around the world that get ignored every day because of crybaby bullshit like this. If you do stupid shit like ignoring the cops when they are trying to talk to you then don`t cry about it when they stop talking all together....because you only have yourself to blame and I have no sympathy for you.

There is police brutality and there is resisting arrest.

Dumbasses were not a calm crowd with banners, they were yalling like mad, plus presence of police who were asking them to stop this Means they didnt have a permit to protest.

If you get one of those, you get police escort so no one else starts beating you, and vice versa.

I almost shed a tear for humanity. In the face of adversities, its hard to not cry when the odds are against you. As long as there`s a will, there`s a way. Humanity still have a chance.

More and more shit happening around the world everyday.

I recommend everyone listen to Nickelback`s song, "If Everyone Cared."
