The parents are speech specialist, they didn`t drill there kid on learning? Oh come on, this just proves that every child is capable of learning at such an early age if you support them and teach them accordingly. This is not genetics at all.

i think parents should stop either living through their children and stop making everything about them a statement about themselves.

alot of parents these days just like to have their kids reading at an early due to competition with other parents & friends who have kids.

i think its actually abit sickening, i mean Einstein had trouble learning at an early age and he is one of the greatest minds of all time.

just because your childrens reading at 17months doesn`t mean their a child genious, if anything it just shows how versitile & easily a child can learn as opposed to an adult.

yay so she can read...but how much of what she reads can she comprehend?

I tutor kids...and you can see who is just reading the words and who actually understands what they are reading by asking simple questions on what they just read...
