When `Cosmos` first appeared on TV when I was a kid, my family would enjoy it together, totally entranced by Sagan`s poetry and the poetry of the universe he described. It was our "church".

Now I`m raising my kids with the same "faith", the same worship of Nature, the Earth, the Universe, and the mystical, revalatory language of Science, with Sagan as our guide (and that cool Vangelis themesong as the soundtrack).

Sometimes I think as a species we kick arse and are the bees knees, other times i think we are a fucked up, piece of shit animal not worth living on this world. This video made me think of both within 4 mins. Thanks
