This is about the Spitzer Space Telescope....not the Hubble. They are two different telescopes.

I don`t understand how you can see light from the big bang. Does that mean the universe is expanding faster than the speed of light? and if so... how did that light ever manage to catch up, and why are we able to see it now. you couldnt have been able to see it all along, could you? that wouldnt make sense, would it? stupid space/time, fucks with my head.

intersting fact, time is relative to speed. the faster you move through space/time, the slower time goes. FACT. interesting concept considering earth is flying through the space of our solar system, and our very solar system is hurtling through space. its really really hard to guage how fast we are moving at this very moment. (it is, however, much much easier to tell how fast we are moving relative to something else. ie, we know how fast the earth is moving compared to our sun. our sun is anything but stationary though. you have to wonder, how fast is our universe moving through space?)

another interesting concept is that space/time isnt perfect and 3d the way we see it, and experience it. space/time is warped and swishy, like... a fluid thats been disturbed. (put a dye in water and swish the water, watch it move around.) since we are in space/time though, we are part of those very same distortions, so, our senses are warped the same way space/time is, and so, we experience everything solidly. hard to explain. ;p

on a totally different tangent, i think gravity is the displacement of space/time. but i could be nutter.
