Overrated like a motherfucker. Not saying the song isn`t good or that Hendrix isn`t a good guitar play, just very overrated compared to more recent talent.

^ the music industry did their best to evaluate and give people what they thought they wanted. Not bad in concept, but it had too many messed up repercussions - like suddenly the `suits` became the filter between what is made and what the people of the world will get to hear. That meant that artists, real artists - who are leaders and innovators, were no longer on the ballot for the public to vote on, because the music industry suits can only trust their polls to decide who should be heard, and those polls can only reflect what has come before.

Jimi Hendrix could have never made it in the music world of the 90`s, or early 2000`s. But here in this 2010 range, the internet is just starting to make it possible for all that to change (not sure exactly how it will go yet, but a fair balance we eventually be struck because we need a new model), and as we`re seeing this happen, it is no surprise that the music industry is collapsing, now down to only about 1/3rd of it`s previous market numbers.

Fuck yeah for Hendrix, and fuck yeah for all kinds of happy evolution!
