I must say Bush is not exactly the greatest orator we have ever known, but I would still rather live here than a lot of other places. Sure we have a shitty government, but so do most other countries. We get the most negative publicity because our officials think their shit doesn't stink.

hmmm funny thing is... IM NOT A BRIT OR CANADIAN IM AMERICAN! I completely agree with you on Blair, he's a lapdog for sure. As to canadian taxes, if they pay higher taxes bully for them, that still doesn't mean Bush isn't fucking over the middle and lower class by handing out enourmous tax breaks to the upper class elite. In general yes, the standard of living is far higher in the U.S, even for people we consider poor, but that doesn't mean they still don't get fucked over when it comes to education, public safety, and other tax expenses. Not to mention his crappy ideas for medicare which really don't help senior citizens. Making medicare expensive so they pay big monthly premiums but don't pay out of pocket for the medicine itself doesn't make the plan good, it just changes where the money goes. Take a look at the gas prices too and if you look carefully at the companies that sell gas, they have close ties to the administration. When they were questioned about whether they met with the president they weren't under oath and any sensible person knows that Bush consulted all of those big companies when he set energy policy comming into his second term. They are to blame for the high price of gas and they are the real puppet masters here. Judging by your standard "blame a canadian/brit" comment, Im guessing you too are American and either conservative or just a Bush supporter. Next time you pay your taxes, or fill up your car, think about where this money is going and whether you want it to go there, because in both cases, the rich get richer, while the poor get poorer, and at the same time, all of us loose our rights!
