Everyone thinks that the DDoS of the Scientology sites were not planned or weren`t helpful. But the idea was always to DDoS the sites in order to get media attention. It wasn`t just a whim.

It`s true that the best way to destroy Scientology would be just to make fun of what they believe, but while that`s easy - it`s definitely not right.

It`s true that their beliefs might be somewhat more ridiculous with respect to our culture and society, but past that their beliefs are just as probable as any other belief.

So while it may be easy to get rid of them this way, it definitely isn`t the right thing to do.

Also, this video is really old.

^ Their beliefs are just as ridiculous and silly as 99% of other religious beliefs, and it would be great if more people were making fun of those beliefs as well rather than giving them a pass based on the fact that they`ve been around longer.

Being around longer, does not make them any less rediculous, and making fun of those beliefs is far less menacing than religious believers` behavior toward any conflicting belief system.

If making fun of it weakens it, I say it`s ABSOLUTELY the right thing to do.

Why do you want to beat the shit out of that old fart? He made a valid point, attacking the Co$ websites makes the Co$ look like the victim. If we focus more on bringing light to the criminal actions by the church then we can successfully bring it down.

That`s only sorta true, at first the plan was to drive scientology off the internet, not destroy the entire church. The first statements about the whole thing was "This is our internet, tits or gtfo.". Then Anon simply kept going and realized that this could lead to something bigger. Then Wise Beard Man came along and pushed the whole thing to a whole new level.

Also, relic180, this isn`t about what they think is true or not. This is about the church acting like mafia going off and scares people into silence.

If someone wants to think that if they try hard enough that they can heal themself in seconds from fatal wounds or control time, that`s FINE! Since it would break the laws of physics, nothing bad can come out of it. Lets say I think that if I train hard enough I could jump 50 feet straight up, would I be hurting anyone? No.

Scientology hides all the facts and teaching from the new people, they even say that if you read material from an OT level higher than you are know, you can DIE! Then they leech of the people like parasites until they reach OT III where they are told about Xenu, then they learn that if they train hard enough they can control matter, space and time. Everything is revealed after the person has reached a state of mind where they can accept something a little more extreme than before.

We don`t like that. We would like to see Scientology saying "This is how the humans came to be, this is how thetans works, here is a list of OT levels and courses to reach the OT levels, they are pretty expensive but they worth every penny.". Then people would know what they hell they are getting into.

The reason why people are all "LOL XENU!" is because CoS is trying so hard to make people think that isn`t what it is all about. That itself is a reason to tell others.

ONLY making fun of Scientology will definitely destroy it faster - BUT unless you make the process useless by making fun of all other religions... then you really are a religious bigot.

The BEST way is to expose their crimes and how they`re a cult. Because that`s not religious bigotry and it`s TRUE.

Also I`d like to ad that Anon has followers of pretty much all of the major religions and we make fun of them all just as much anytime we can. Anon is pro-religion, we are not anti-religion. All religions are welcomed, since they always have some form of hilarious part in them. Like zombie Jesus, pedo Mohammed or stoner Moses. If Scientology said openly "Xenu is real people!", we could accept them as just another religion, until then we will keep fighting to make people aware of the truth.

I would agree with that, except that I believe that all the religions are cults that control and exploit people just as scientology does. To say that scientology is any worse because hundreds if not thousands of people have suffered at the hands of their greed driven corporation in recent times, is to turn a blind eye to the billions of people over the course of history, who have suffered horribly at the hands of other religions and their greed.

The difference between a cult and a religion, is that cults are not legitimized in the eyes of the social majority, and religions are. A geocentric universe was accepted as a legitimate scientific truth at one time.

And if you`re branding me as a religious bigot because I appose fascist organizations that demand complete obedience from the masses with no credentials other than an invisible force that they claim ordained it, or because I`m uncomfortable with the impending apocalypse that will only happen through the self fulfilling prophecies of religious zealots, or because I`m opposed to the murder of innocent gay teens or abortion clinic employees because their behavior conflicts with the writings in some damn ancient book...

...then yes. I`m a huge religious bigot.

See it like two people telling you to choose a road to walk on. Both roads are dead end and you will probably end up as bad on both.

Now lets look what Benny Hinn would say: "This roads leads to salvation! You will get healed if you walk it! It is perfect and make of gold! Just give me money and I will let you walk on it!" Obviously a sane person wouldn`t believe it so only easily influenced people walk that one thinking it is the best one.

Then look what scientology would "Hey, I have this road over here. It`s really fun and has some great ideas, it`s very intressting and if you walk it you can probably feel a lot better, don`t worry it`s free the first time and after that you have to pay us a little bit of money but trust me 100 bucks is nothing for the kind of material you will get.". Then after you`ve tried walking on it a while you notice that you really DO feel better and the man comes back and says "Great huh? Well we have more roads for you to walk on, tell your friend about the first one also! However like I said these ones costs a little." and then it just keeps going like that until the person dies or leaves the church.
